How much does a website cost?

Cost may vary based on the complexity of your requirements but on average, a fully functional website used for information purposes starts at TT$4,500 for a template-based solution or TT$8,000 for a custom built solution.


How much does logo design cost?

The creation of a new logo starts at TT$1,500. This includes the production of digital and print-ready versions.


Do I need a Mobile App?

A mobile application, most commonly referred to as an app, is a type of application software designed to run on a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet computer. Most modern websites are responsive i.e. mobile-ready, but there are instances where you may require a mobile app. If you have very dynamic content you wish to push out to users, e.g. news, scores or personalized offers, then a mobile app is for you.


What is e-Commerce?

Commercial transactions conducted electronically on the Internet.


PayPal or Credit Cards for e-Commerce?

The major difference is the cost. PayPal deducts a percentage of each transaction and charges a small fee to withdraw your money. The credit card routing facility is generally a bit more expensive and is a monthly fee. The advantage of the credit card option is the processing of local credit cards. A local alternative to PayPal gaining traction is WiPay.


HTTP vs HTTPS

HTTP VS HTTPS. Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website that you are connected to. The ‘S’ at the end of HTTPS stands for ‘Secure’. It means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted. If your site stores any user specific information you should employ HTTPS protocol.


What is a Domain?

In general, a domain name represents an Internet Protocol (IP) resource, such as a personal computer used to access the Internet; a server computer hosting a website; the website itself or any other service communicated via the Internet. Your domain is URL used to access your website.


What is hosting?

Websites are made up of a series of documents and databases that contain content and configuration. These elements must be housed somewhere that is accessible via the internet. This location is your host. A host may be Windows or Linux based, this impacts on the technology used to create the website.


Windows vs Linux Hosts

Whether you use a Windows or Linux host the functionality is almost identical. The only differences are a marginal premium for Windows based hosting and the technology used. Linux hosted websites must be written using PHP while Windows hosted sites employ ASP.NET. The database technology also differs with Linux using MYSQL and Windows using MSSQL.
